"THE BEND"

Glenaire's fully licensed restaurant, cafe and fun place to go. Only 300 metres from Castle Cove beach  in a magnificent rural setting & in the hands of chef and host extraordinaire Paul Ivelja.

Paul will delight with his wicked sense of humour, his delicious meals, & his fabulous coffee. (Worth going just to see what he writes on the blackboards!)

Winter Hours are:

Fri-Mon 10.00am -4.30pm (longer if he's busy and really cheerful.)

Sat: Dinner bookings absolutely essential!!

Gourmet Hampers: Breakfast, Picnic, Dinner and Wine available by order. Ideal to enjoy in the privacy of your cottage, for a candlelit dinner just for two, or for that picnic in the forest or by the sea. Just give him a ring - he'll have it ready for you or have it delivered to your cottage.

PRIVATE FOREST WALK - A beautifully constructed trail through tall timbers, fern gullies, gloworms and Ti-Tree arches reflecting the diversity Glenaire Park has to offer (40 minutes return.)

 

Glenaire is positioned to take advantage of this major coastal attraction by having direct access to the Otway National Park and being able to enjoy three strategic sections of it: Glenaire to Johanna Beach, Glenaire to Castle Cove via Dinosaur Cove and Glenaire to Aire River Mouth. We are happy to tailor a package to help you make the most of this wonderful facility.

HORSE RIDING An opportunity to ride on the beach or through the forest. We can book it for you or you can ring direct: Bimbi Park Cyril & Pat Marriner (03) 5237 9246 or bring your own horse! We have pasture, yards and unbelievable riding country with the ultimate views.

Cottage guests enjoy a coffee at 'The Bend' en route to Calder Ridge riding their own horses.

 

BEACH'S - Castle Cove & pet friendly Johanna Beach are sculptural masterpieces and even more so when the gales present their wrath to the sandstone cliffs.

SURFING - Johanna Beach world championship venue and Castle Cove known as 'Castles' among the regular die-hard surfing fraternity.

FISHING - A choice of ocean and river fishing is available at Castle Cove, Glenaire Beach, Johanna River, Aire & Ford Rivers to name a few 

CANOES & MOUNTAIN BIKES an excellent means of exploring the wetlands, lakes and forest trails

And of course we are only 50 minutes drive from the famous Twelve Apostles
